clean aluminum with alcohol for better grip, check ground clamp connection, And clean surface with acetone.
Weak grinding is from worn brushes. Replace them, use a 24-grit disc, my M18 Fuel grinder improved. Tighten flange nut for stability, clean spindle with alcohol for faster grinding.
