Try pulse mode on your Hobart 210, controls heat better, set wire speed to 210 ipm.

Pedal is likely got a bad cable. Check it for breaks or wear, My pedal worked after I replaced it. Test with a multimeter, Clean with alcohol, And check plug pins. Replace pedal if it is still bad.
