Check foot pedal on your Miller Syncrowave 250 DX, faulty pedal skips pulse, use 2% ceriated tungsten.
Grinding fan is likely bad bearings. Check motor for wear, My fan quieted after replacing them. clean vents with compressed air, And lube bearings to cut noise. Replace fan if it is bad.
