I’m fed up cause my Hobart Handler 210 arc fails to start on steel, Using 1/16-inch tungsten at 20 CFH argon, and ground clamp is secure. what is wrong?

Arc failure comes from bad tungsten or grounding, Check tungsten for wear or contamination, My Hobart Handler failed to start too, Clean steel with alcohol before welding, Set to 120 amps for 1/8-inch steel, Use 25 CFH argon for coverage, Check polarity for correct settings, Sharpen tungsten to a fine point, Ensure clean connections, Use wire brush for prep.

non-starting arc comes from dirty surfaces, Clean with acetone thorough before welding, My Hobart starts reliable now, Check ground clamp for rust.

Use fresh tungsten for better ignition, it helps.

Check gas regulator for proper flow, It improves arc ignition.
