Why Does Welding Flash Burn Eyes?

        Hi guys my Lincoln welder flash burns Hi guys my eyes bad, no proper shield. Eyes hurt, any fixes?

          Use 3M auto-darkening helmet, it is safer.

            Flash burn is from no protection. Use shade 10 auto-darkening helmet, my eyes stopped hurting with 3M. Clean lense with alchohol, never weld without shield.

              wear safety glasses under helmet, my eyes feel safer.
