Hi guys i am a little bit confused cause my Millermatic 211 welds crack on steel, Using 0.035-inch wire at 20V, and welds cools too fast. Any fixes?

Cracks comes from fast cooling, Preheat steel to 200°F, My Millermatic 211 cracked too, Use 25 CFH argon, set wire speed to 240 ipm, clean with acetone, check for proper joint fit-up, and use 7018 electrode.

Try slower cooling with blankets, it helps.

High voltage causes cracks, lower to 18V.

Use 0.030-inch wire, it puts less stress on welds.
