This is driving me nuts cause my Esab Rebel 235 welds fail on steel, Using 0.035-inch wire at 22V, and welds cracks under stress. what is causing this?

Try slower cooling, it makes welds stronger.

Weld failure comes from fast cooling or poor prep, Preheat steel to 200°F before welding, My Esab Rebel had failing welds too, Use 25 CFH argon for coverage, Set wire speed to 240 ipm, Clean with acetone, Use 7018 electrode, Ensure slow cooling.

weak welds comes from contaminated steel surfaces, Clean with alcohol thorough before welding, My Esab welds hold strong now, Ensure proper joint prep.

High voltage can cause weak welds, Lower to 20V.

Use 0.030-inch wire, it reduces stress in welds.
