Running into millermatic 185 on 0.035-inch 4043 wire — porosity

        my Millermatic 185 on 0.035-inch 4043 wire has porosity, 20V at 150 amps, cleaned with acetone, tweaked CFH 15 to 25. Can you give me a solution to this?

          run 17V on 3/32 filler, arc is smoother with less crackle.

            Tighten ground clamp, no more arc flutter.

              use fresh 1/16 tungsten, slow travel speed a bit.
