My Makita 18V cordless grinder gets hot fast grinding 1/8-inch aluminum with a 4.5-inch disc, shuts off quick. If anyone of you know the solution please tell me?

Heavy pressure causes overheating. Use lighter passes, 36-grit disc, my Makita 18V grinder had same issue. Clean vents with air, check battery contacts with alcohol, try a 5Ah battery for cooler running.

Clean vents with compressed air, check battery contacts with alcohol to reduce heat.

Use a high-capacity 5Ah battery, it helps with overheating.

Overheating is from heavy pressure. Use lighter passes, 36-grit disc, my Makita 18V grinder lasts longer.
