This is driving me nuts cause my Lincoln Precision TIG 225 burns through thin steel, Using 1/16-inch tungsten at 20 CFH argon, and welds looks messy. what is wrong?

Burn-through means too much heat, Lower to 100 amps for 1/8-inch steel, My Lincoln TIG burned too, Use 2% lanthanated tungsten for control, Clean with alcohol, Set AC balance to 70%, Check polarity, Use 15 CFH argon, Sharpen tungsten.

Try smaller tungsten, it helps with control.

High amps causes burn-through on steel, Adjust to 90 amps for thin metal, my Precision TIG welds cleaner now, Clean steel thorough with acetone.
