This is driving me nuts cause my Lincoln Precision TIG 225 arc wanders on steel, Using 1/16-inch tungsten at 20 CFH argon, and welds is inconsistent. what is causing this?

Wandering arc comes from poor grounding or prep, Check clamp for rust or wear, My Lincoln TIG wandered too, Use 2% lanthanated tungsten for stability, Clean with alcohol, Set AC balance to 65%, Use 15 CFH argon, Sharpen tungsten to a point.

Try sharper tungsten, it helps with control.

inconsistent welds comes from dirty steel surfaces, Clean with acetone thorough before welding, My Lincoln TIG welds even now, Check ground clamp condition.
