To all community members, at my wit is end cause my Lincoln Precision TIG 225 struggles with thick aluminum, Using 3/32-inch tungsten at 20 CFH argon, and welds lacks penetration depth. any tips?

Thick aluminum needs higher amperage for penetration, Set to 180 amps for 1/4-inch aluminum, My Lincoln TIG struggled too, Use 1/8-inch tungsten for more power, Clean with alcohol thorough, Set AC balance to 65% for control, Use 25 CFH argon for coverage, Bevel joint edges for better fusion, Ensure tight ground clamp, Check for tungsten contamination.

poor penetration comes from low amperage, Increase to 200 amps for stronger welds, My Lincoln welds thick aluminum now, Clean with acetone thorough.

Bevel edges for deeper weld penetration, it helps.

Use larger tungsten for thick aluminum, My welds got better after switching, Clean thorough.
