This is a pain cause my Hobart Handler 190 can’t weld aluminum right, Using 0.035-inch 4043 wire at 22V, and welds don’t hold. any settings?

Aluminum needs higher voltage for strong welds, Set Handler 190 to 24V for better results, Use 100% argon at 25 CFH, My Hobart welded better after cleaning, Clean with alcohol, Push wire don’t pull, Check spool gun tension, Use 250 ipm.

weak welds comes from incorrect settings or prep, Adjust wire speed to 250 ipm for stability, My Hobart welds aluminum strong now, Clean metal with acetone.

Try a spool gun for aluminum, it works better.

Use 0.025-inch wire, it is less heat for aluminum.
