My steel shelf brackets bend bad using 1/8-inch steel with Esab MIG, shelves sags. How i can avoid this problem?

Bending brackets need thicker material. Use 3/16-inch steel for strength. Weld with 7018 rod at 120 amps. My brackets hold 500 lbs. Add gussets. Clean with alcohol. Check alignment.
