Brush Touch Welding Machine Not Igniting

        My brush touch welding machine fails to ignite arc using 1/8-inch 7018 electrodes, 120 amps, arc don’t start. Any fixes?

          Faulty ground clamp prevents ignition. Tighten clamp, clean with alcohol, my welder starts better. Check electrode for dampness, bake at 250°F for an hour to stabilize arc.

              Damp electrodes causes ignition issues. Bake 7018 at 250°F, it starts better.
